Online Banking Service Agreement
Welcome to Online Banking with the State Bank of Lakota! Protecting the privacy of your personal information is our highest priority. Our online banking system utilizes the most up to date technology to guard against the unauthorized access of your information. This technology includes Multi Factor Authentication for your log-in to our system, and Secure Socket Layer encryption of your data. Explanations of this technology are included in the "Security Information" link on our online banking web site.
While we will take all necessary steps to guard against any theft of your personal information, you must remember that you are a very important part of the overall process to keep your information secure. In that regard we recommend the following:
- Make sure you keep your User ID and Password a secret and that you not share them with anyone else or leave them
out where someone may see them.
- All online banking customers will be required to have their own unique User ID and Password. You should not
allow other members of your family to log in using your ID and Password.

We recommend that your computer use the Windows 7 or newer operating system. We also recommend that you review
the "Browser Requirements" link on our Online Banking Web Site to make sure that your internet browser
is compatible with the SSL encryption technology that we have employed.
In addition, it is your responsibility to insure that your computer, or any computer that you use to connect to our
web site, is free from viruses, spyware, or any other malicious software; as the State Bank of Lakota assumes no
responsibility or liability for problems with a computer you utilize to connect to our web site, for your internet
connection, or for your internet service provider.
Also, it is your responsibility to notify us immediately if you have reason to believe that someone other than you
has obtained your log-in information.
This User ID along with a password are necessary to get set up on our Online Banking System. We will provide you with
an initial password along with instructions on how to log on to the system in a separate mailing.
In consideration of the Online Banking Services ("Services") to be provided by the State Bank of Lakota, of
Lakota, ND ("the Bank") as described from time to time in information distributed by the Bank to its
customers, the undersigned Customer agrees as follows:
Services available may include, but are not limited to:
- Balance Inquiry
- Transaction History
- Funds Transfers Between Eligible Accounts
- Review of Check and Deposit Images
- Online Checking Account Statements
- Email to the Bank
- By Utilizing the Services, Customer agrees to be bound to all rules and regulations applicable to Customer's
deposit account(s) at the Bank as established and amended by the Bank and which are specifically made applicable
to this Agreement. You also authorize the Bank to provide you access to some or all of your eligible accounts.
Each banking product you have with the Bank is considered an eligible account. You may cancel your online access
to your accounts by sending an e-mail to service@statebankoflakota.com; by writing us at State Bank of Lakota,
PO Box 468, Lakota, ND 58344; or by phoning us at (701) 247-2413.
- In general, you will have access to your accounts 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. At certain times, the web site
may not be available due to system maintenance or circumstances beyond our control. Transactions made through
the web site may not be posted until the next business day.
- Your checking account statements will be available for your review online. If you choose to have both
e-statements & paper statements provided to you, then your account will be charged a Duplicate Statement Fee
each month. If you later withdraw your consent for online services or online statements, we will begin to
provide you a paper copy of your statement again.
- Fees for Services shall be payable in accordance with a schedule of chargers as established, and amended, by the
Bank from time to time. Charges shall be automatically deducted from Customer's account and the Bank shall
provided to Customer a notice of such debit(s) monthly.
- Electronic Funds Transfer Provisions: Transfers made online that debit or credit your account are subject to the
Electronic Fund's Transfer Act as implemented by Regulations E (12 CFR 205). A Regulation E Disclosure has
been provided to you which outlines your liability for an unauthorized Electronic Funds Transfer.
- Electronic Mail: You may wish to communicate with us by e-mail. We may respond to your request by e-mail, but we
will never send you an e-mail to ask confidential information about your account(s). We may send you a
notification e-mail when electronic statements are available online. You cannot use e-mail to conduct
transactions on your account.
- If you do not access your accounts online for any consecutive 6 month period, we may terminate your online
banking service.
- The Bank shall not be responsible for:
- Errors in amounts, payee codes, or payment dates entered by Customer.
- Errors in addresses, account numbers, or other information provided to the Bank by Customer.
- Late fees or other similar chargers imposed by Payees and incurred by Customer.
- Damages arising from unauthorized access to the Online Banking Software because of negligence of
Customer.
- Regarding passwords: Once the Online banking Services Agreement and Online Banking Service Application has been
completed and a login User ID and Password for access to the Bank's online banking site has been selected,
Customer is solely responsible for the use of the Bank's online banking site by anyone who utilizes the
Customer's correct ID and Password. The Bank will have no duty to further verify the identity of any online
banking user with a valid password. The Bank will act on instructions received under the authorized password.
However, if the Customer loses or forgets their password, or is locked out of the system, the Bank will verify
the identity of the Customer before unlocking or issuing a new password according to the security questions on
the Customer's Online Banking Service Application.
- Business Accounts: In general, if you are a business or organization, any authorized representative of your
business is authorized to use the online service if they are noted by you as a designated user of your account.
We will, however, require each designated user to have their own unique User ID and Password and to execute a
copy of this agreement and abide by all of its terms and conditions.
- Except as otherwise required by law, rule, or regulation, we may change the terms of the agreement from time to
time and at any time. When changes are made we will update this agreement a the web site. This agreement will be
in effect from the date of your enrollment for our online banking service and during all times that you use
online banking. Either you or the Bank may terminate this agreement and/or your access to our online banking
service at any time without notice.
- The laws of the State of North Dakota shall govern this Agreement and all transactions hereunder. Customer
acknowledges that he/she has reviewed this Online Banking Services Agreement, the Online Banking Service
Application, and the Regulation E Disclosure. Customer further acknowledges and understands the terms and
conditions set forth herein, and agrees to be bound hereby.
